Nettle is a miracle of Natural Medicine


Stinging nettle (Urtica dioica and urens)  grows wild in uncultivated places and is unfairly considered a nuisance plant and weed.
Its nutritional and medicinal properties are known and used for centuries. The large amount of vitamin E present in the garden,
makes this important food as an antioxidant,
inhibiting the activity of oxidative free radials such as fibrinolysis, reduction of thrombin with blood, as an activator of sex hormones, increasing fertility.

In addition to vitamin E, nettle also contains high levels of Vitamin A , C and K, as well as iron, silicon, calcium, manganese and potassium, organic acids and secretin,
which stimulates gastric secretion.
Especially in its root, nettle contains sterols as beta-sitosterol, phytosterol and phytol, prostatic highly useful.
Nettle is a great mineralizing, then used in anemia, the loss of hair, fingernails and the fragility of in low milk production.
Moderately and highly draining diuretic, nettle is used to treat forms of arthritic, rheumatic afflictions, iperuricemia and gout.

The high bioavailability of iron determines an important therapeutic application in case of anemia and bleeding.
The combined presence of iron, tannin, vitamin C and calcium makes the nettle very useful in acute hemorrhagic enteritis such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease.
